Nyman played 24 games with Seattle this season, recording six points, before being sent down where he has 27 points in 29 games. The recall follows Jaden Schwartz being out indefinitely with an upper-body injury and Eeli Tolvanen missing the last game due to a similar issue. Jared McCann did not play the final 11 minutes against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. In a trade at the March 6 deadline, Seattle acquired forward Bobby McMann from the Toronto Maple Leafs, sending a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick. After immigration delays, McMann debuted on March 14 with two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. He added a goal and assist in a 6-2 victory against the Florida Panthers, then scored in a loss to the Lightning, totaling four goals and six points in three games. The Kraken, holding the second wild-card spot with 71 points alongside the Los Angeles Kings and ahead of the San Jose Sharks (70) and Nashville Predators (69), start a six-game road trip on March 19 against Nashville.
