Silent Hill 2 remake launches on Xbox worldwide with 50 percent discount

The acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake has expanded to Xbox Series X/S globally, following an initial Australian release. It comes with a limited-time 50 percent discount across platforms. Additionally, a new trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation has debuted.

Xbox Release and Pricing

Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake, praised for its quality upon last year's launch, is now accessible on Xbox Series X/S worldwide through the Microsoft Store. This follows a surprise debut in Australia the previous day. The standard edition is priced at £27.49, down from £54.98, while the Deluxe Edition—featuring a digital art book, soundtrack, and Pyramid Head mask—costs £34.99. These discounts are set to appear on PlayStation and PC stores later today.

New Bundle Options

Today also introduces bundles combining Silent Hill 2 with Silent Hill f, available in standard and deluxe versions across platforms. A 20 percent discount on these bundles begins November 25, though details on stacking with the current Silent Hill 2 offer remain unclear. Silent Hill f itself receives a 30 percent reduction on PlayStation starting today, extending to other platforms from November 25.

Movie Adaptation Trailer

A fresh trailer for Return to Silent Hill, directed by Christophe Gans, showcases familiar elements like foggy streets, nurses, Pyramid Head, and Akira Yamaoka's score. Described as a faithful take on the game, the film is slated for cinema release on January 23, 2026. The trailer's energetic style contrasts with the game's subdued tone, raising questions about its final form.
