Courtney LaPlante stopped Spiritbox's July 15 concert in Phoenix to remove a fan accused of hurting others in the crowd. The incident occurred at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre during a show supporting Evanescence and Nova Twins.
LaPlante paused the performance before closing with 'Soft Spine' after drummer Zev Rose spotted the disturbance. She told the audience that the show would not continue until everyone was safe and urged fans to identify the person.
"Zev is taller than us and he’s up on the kit, and he sees some fucker right now," LaPlante said. After fans pointed out the individual, she added, "Well guess what, fucker? We all saw you, we know where you are and your ass is gonna get kicked the fuck out."
LaPlante checked on an affected fan and reminded the crowd to look out for each other. Some witnesses later claimed on social media that the person had been punching and shoving others outside the mosh pit.
