Steven Soderbergh, known for films like Ocean’s 11, Traffic, and Che, has announced a collaborative project with his Bolivian spirit brand Singani 63 and Nitehawk Cinema. The initiative celebrates Soderbergh’s 63rd year and highlights his favorite movies alongside the 500-year-old spirit he discovered while filming Che in Bolivia. Spanning 63 days over nine weeks, the series begins on February 18, 2026, and concludes on April 15. Screenings occur every Wednesday night, alternating between Nitehawk Prospect Park and Nitehawk Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Soderbergh curated nine films, one per decade, spanning genres from screwball comedies to thrillers and blockbusters. The lineup includes Trouble in Paradise (1932, directed by Ernst Lubitsch), Notorious (1946, Alfred Hitchcock), The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T (1953), The Servant (1963), Jaws (1976, Steven Spielberg), Do the Right Thing (1989, Spike Lee), Fargo (1996, Joel and Ethan Coen), Lost in Translation (2003), and Phantom Thread (2017, Paul Thomas Anderson).
