The Stockholm City commuter train station in central Stockholm was evacuated on Wednesday evening due to an automatic alarm. The issue was resolved by 00:30.
The alarm came in at 22:11. According to SL's traffic status on its website, there was possible smoke development at the site. The station was evacuated and the fire department responded.
The stop affected lines 40, 41 and 43, which did not stop at Stockholm City. Andreas Strömberg, press chief at SL, said it was an automatic evacuation alarm that had started.
At 00:25 on Thursday night, SL announced that trains were stopping again at the station and that the cordons had been lifted. It was a technical fault on the evacuation alarm that technicians fixed.
The stop did not affect the T-centralen metro station located a few meters above the commuter station.
