SUSE Southeast Asia has announced a strategic collaboration with HeiTech Padu Berhad to advance Malaysia's digitalization and cloud-native development efforts. The partnership aims to position HeiTech Padu as a key open source center of excellence. It focuses on enhancing public sector services through Container-as-a-Service models.
SUSE announced the partnership on April 8, highlighting its role in supporting Malaysia's digital transformation. The collaboration seeks to establish HeiTech Padu Berhad as a strategic open source center of excellence, emphasizing Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) adoption to boost public sector efficiency and societal well-being. SUSE stated that the initiative will leverage its validated reference architectures alongside HeiTech Padu's local technical expertise. This effort targets critical public services including healthcare and social services, energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, and education, ensuring they remain accessible and resilient. The partners also plan to align with Malaysia's MyDIGITAL national policy, which aims for 100% digital literacy among civil servants.
