The Dregs adds Stephen Lang, Shohreh Aghdashloo and more to cast

Indie comedic thriller The Dregs has added Stephen Lang from the Avatar franchise, Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, Piper Curda and several others to its cast, according to an exclusive Deadline report. The film, which recently wrapped production, centers on friends whose trip to the Italian Alps turns terrifying after drinking a cursed bottle of Grappa.

The Dregs, a forthcoming indie project, has expanded its ensemble with notable additions including Stephen Lang, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Piper Curda, Maddie Phillips, Max Lloyd-Jones and Charlie Gillespie. Lang portrays the antagonist, a bitter Alpine waiter whose family Grappa recipe incorporates alchemy and witchcraft. Details on other characters remain undisclosed. Additional cast members include David Goren, Desiree Staples, Evan Bittencourt, Kheon Clarke, Fletcher Donovan, Quinnie Vu and Mike Stern, who developed the project and is producing via his Astral Plane banner alongside Yasir Anwar, Marco Allegri, Tinker and Connor Martin. Martin makes his directorial debut with his own script.
