An American intelligence assessment alleges that Cuba is preparing drone strikes on Guantanamo Bay, US ships and possibly Key West, Florida.
The assessment, leaked to Axios, states that Cuba has amassed more than 300 drones and has begun discussing their use against those targets. US officials say the drones have been acquired from Russia and Iran over several years, with a recent increase in deliveries from Russia. An estimated 5,000 Cuban soldiers have fought for Russia in Ukraine, reportedly in exchange for $25,000 per soldier from the Russian government.
