Wipro discusses AI focus in Q1 2027 earnings call

Wipro Limited held its first-quarter 2027 earnings press conference on July 16, 2026. Executives highlighted strong order bookings alongside revenue declines and margin pressure.

CEO Srinivas Pallia described a resilient macro environment with ongoing uncertainties affecting client decisions. He noted that technology spending remains focused on areas including AI, data, cloud, modernization, cybersecurity, and productivity-led transformation.

Pallia added that investments are now subject to greater rigor and longer decision cycles. The company observed that AI is expanding the overall market rather than shrinking it.

Separate reporting indicated strong deal wins offset by weaker revenue and contracting margins. Management stated no major demand shifts from the prior quarter, with future guidance remaining cautious and pointing to a possible slight drop or marginal improvement.
