The New York Knicks were celebrated as 2026 NBA champions during WWE Raw, with the show crediting wrestler Danhausen for their success.
Danhausen produced a documentary detailing how he cursed Stephen A. Smith and the Knicks early in the playoffs, leading to two losses against the Atlanta Hawks. After Game 3, with the team down 2-1, he uncursed them, after which the Knicks won 15 of their next 16 games.
The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in five games to claim the championship. WWE posted on social media that the Knicks are NBA champions courtesy of Danhausen.
The promotion is selling Champshausen merchandise to mark the crossover moment.
