In the Parque Estrela neighborhood of Campo Maior, Piauí, a resident was startled around noon on Sunday, March 1, when she spotted a 1.5-meter snake in her parked car's engine compartment in her home garage. Locals said the boa, frightened while crossing the street, sought shelter in the vehicle.

The homeowner promptly called the local Civil Defense, which dispatched a team to the scene. The professionals removed the animal safely, with no injuries reported. After the rescue, the snake was taken to the municipality's rural zone and released in an area near a river, allowing it to return to its natural habitat.

The Civil Defense stresses the need to avoid handling wild animals, advising people to keep their distance and contact the appropriate authorities in similar situations to prevent risks.
