17-year-old charged with shooting in stairwell in Alby

A 17-year-old boy is charged with attempted murder after shooting at two people in a stairwell in Alby, Botkyrka, last December.

The boy, who was 16 at the time, is said to have shot at a man and a woman. The man was injured in the leg but managed to overpower the shooter and hold him until police arrived.

According to the indictment, the accused is linked to a criminal network in Botkyrka, while the injured man is linked to a rival network. The woman was unharmed.

The 17-year-old boy denies the crime. He is reported to have been severely beaten when arrested, according to the indictment filed on 10 July 2026.
