A coalition of education and activist groups has distributed a 36-page guide encouraging K-12 students to organize school walkouts and other disruptive actions. The toolkit was obtained by the watchdog group Defending Education.
The document, titled “Direct Action Training: School Walkouts,” was produced by the Alliance for Educational Justice. It was shared through webinars linked to the Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools, which includes the National Education Association and other organizations. Funding for related groups has come from foundations including the Ford Foundation and Open Society Foundations, according to the source materials.
