Anker launches Solix E10 for whole-home power backup

Anker has entered the home battery market with its modular Solix E10 system, designed for scalable power backup. Teased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the system starts small and expands without major electrical changes. It competes directly with offerings from Tesla and EcoFlow.

Anker unveiled its Solix E10 system following a preview at CES 2026 last week in Las Vegas. The modular setup allows homeowners to begin with a basic configuration and scale up as needed, avoiding extensive rewiring of their electrical systems.

The entry-level package includes one inverter and a 6kWh battery for $4,299, sufficient for powering select appliances. Each inverter provides a continuous output of 7.68kW, with a surge boost to 10kW lasting up to 90 minutes for demanding loads. Adding batteries increases surge capacity to 28.8kW with one unit or 37.2kW with two or more.

For larger setups, stacking two systems achieves up to 66kW of surge power, while three systems handle 27kW of solar input and 90kWh of storage—enough for about three days of average U.S. household use without solar. The new Power Dock panel supports 200 amps across 12 circuits with automatic switching in under 20 milliseconds, though it requires professional installation. A more affordable Smart Inlet Box offers manual switching and ecosystem integration.

Complementing the E10 is the Smart Generator 5500, a tri-fuel (gasoline, propane, or natural gas) unit that activates automatically during low battery levels and monitors its own maintenance. Preorders are available now, with shipments starting February 4; early deposits secure discounts on hardware and solar accessories. Pricing escalates with add-ons: $4,599 with the Smart Inlet Box, $5,799 with the Power Dock, and $7,399 for the full bundle including the generator.

This flexible, surge-capable system targets users seeking grid independence, positioning Anker against Tesla's Powerwall and EcoFlow's Delta Pro Ultra X.

A Tesla-powered battery energy storage system has begun commercial operations in Sapporo City, Hokkaido, Japan. The 50 MW/104 MWh Helios project, developed by Manoa Energy, uses Tesla's Megapack 2XL batteries to support Japan's grid. It operates as a merchant asset in wholesale, balancing, and capacity markets.

Anker has introduced the Solix E10, a versatile home backup solution that combines battery, solar, and generator power to maintain electricity during outages. This scalable system competes with products like Tesla's Powerwall and offers DIY installation for easier setup. Preorders begin on January 12, with sales starting February 4.

Anker has introduced the Solix E10, a modular home battery backup system designed to compete with Tesla by providing whole-home power during blackouts. The system promises up to 15 days of off-grid survival for average households and features easy installation options. It is now available for pre-order starting at $4,299.

Tesla has secured a $275 million order for its Megapack battery systems from Matrix Renewables to build a 500 MW/1 GWh energy storage facility in Eccles, Scotland. This marks Matrix's first standalone battery project in the UK and aims to enhance grid flexibility and renewable energy integration. The deal underscores growing demand for large-scale storage solutions amid the UK's clean energy transition.
