Apple TV+ unveils first teaser trailer for Cape Fear series

Building on last month's first-look images, Apple TV+ has released the first teaser trailer for its Cape Fear limited series. Javier Bardem stars as vengeful killer Max Cady targeting attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom (Patrick Wilson) Bowden. The show premieres June 5 with the first two episodes, reimagining Martin Scorsese's 1991 film.

The teaser depicts the couple's perfect life unraveling as Cady confronts Anna: 'I had a good life once, too.' She responds in terror, 'He's coming after my family,' amid intense violence, with Cady declaring, 'You deserve this.' Anna questions, 'Do we deserve all this?,' underscoring the killer's twisted justice.

Official logline: 'A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden when Max Cady, the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.'

Drawing from Scorsese's 1991 film (Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Robert De Niro, Juliette Lewis), the 1962 adaptation (Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum), and John D. MacDonald's novel The Executioners, the series is executive produced by Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. Nick Antosca (The Act) writes and showruns.

Cast includes CCH Pounder, Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Jamie Hector, Malia Pyles, Anna Baryshnikov, and others.
