Bloc Party shares emotive new single 'Love Bombs'

Bloc Party released the new single 'Love Bombs' on June 30. The track comes from the band's upcoming seventh album.

Bloc Party shared the synth-led single 'Love Bombs' on June 30. Frontman Kele Okereke described it as capturing the dramatic gestures of new love alongside underlying fears that it might not last.

The song features lyrics such as "I want to cool you down / I want to rough you up / I want to crawl all over you, most of the time." It follows the previously released track 'Coming On Strong' and draws from Okereke's personal experiences after a separation and new romance.

The single precedes the album 'Anatomy Of A Brief Romance', scheduled for release on September 11 via Contagious Ltd through Virgin Music Group. The record was produced by Trevor Horn and spans 14 songs.

Bloc Party is set to join Muse on a North American tour later this year and will co-headline dates in the UK and EU with Interpol in the autumn.
