Bundestag and Bundesrat passed Health Minister Nina Warken's savings reform. The coalition agreed on concessions to the states.
On Friday, the Bundestag and Bundesrat approved the GKV-Beitragssatzstabilisierungsgesetz. The reform marks a personal success for CDU Health Minister Nina Warken.
The states had previously received 450 million euros for hospitals and 100 million euros for university clinics from the federal government. This concession enabled approval.
The cabinet had already adopted the draft in May. Warken is seen as a quiet minister who works without major announcements.
