CIS projects PP would win 2027 general election in Andalusia by under three points

The Center for Sociological Research published a post-election survey on Wednesday from the May 17 Andalusian vote that includes a projection for the 2027 general election.

According to CIS data, the PP would receive 25.6 percent of the vote compared with 22.8 percent for the PSOE, with Vox in third place at 12.9 percent. The gap between the two main parties thus narrows to under three points from the 18.9-point difference recorded in the regional election.

The survey, based on 4,000 interviews, also shows that 76.5 percent of those who voted for Juanma Moreno would support Alberto Núñez Feijóo again, while 15.5 percent would switch to Vox. Within the PSOE, 64.2 percent of María Jesús Montero’s voters would back Pedro Sánchez.

Separately, Andalusian Parliament president Jesús Aguirre has called the investiture session for Moreno on June 29 and 30. The PP and Vox continue talks on a government deal similar to those reached in other regions.

The Popular Party lost its absolute majority in the May 17 Andalusian regional elections after gaining more votes than ever but losing five seats due to the rise of Adelante Andalucía. The PSOE suffered its worst historical result with 28 seats. Vox gains influence and will condition Juan Manuel Moreno's next government.

Provincial branches of PSOE Andaluz approved their candidate lists for the May 17 elections on Wednesday, achieving consensus in seven of eight provinces at the request of the regional executive led by María Jesús Montero. Tensions persist only in Cádiz, where the regional Lists Committee plans to alter the order of candidates proposed by provincial secretary Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix. The process featured secret negotiations and internal struggles to avoid public divisions.
