A 30-year-old judge, Aman Kumar Sharma, was found dead in his Green Park home in south Delhi. Police are treating it as a suicide. He had called his father beforehand, citing marital discord and mental stress.
On Saturday around 1:45 pm, Safdarjung Enclave police received a PCR call from Aman Kumar Sharma's brother-in-law Shivam, reporting a suicide in the Green Park home. Police arrived to find Aman hanging from his wife's dupatta in the bathroom. He was rushed to hospital but declared dead.
Aman served as Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority at Karkardooma Courts since October 2025. The night before, around 10 pm, he called his father from Alwar, saying 'जीना मुश्किल कर दिया...' and describing marital disputes, two months of mental stress, and his wife's control over the home. His father arrived in Delhi by midnight.
According to relative Rajesh Sharma, tensions escalated. The wife allegedly asked the father to leave and threatened police action. A uncle was summoned but left after a message. Amid shouting, Aman was crying. An app call rang from the bathroom, where he was found hanging.
Aman's wife is also a judicial officer, and his sister an IAS officer posted in Jammu. Delhi police are investigating.
