Demi Schuurs collided with a ball girl during a women's doubles quarterfinal at Wimbledon on Wednesday. The incident briefly halted play on Court 3 but caused no serious injuries.

The Dutch player was competing with Ellen Perez against Shuko Aoyama and Liang En-shou when the mishap occurred. At 30-30 in the seventh game of the first set, Schuurs slipped while chasing a shot and fell into the ball girl, with both landing on the court.

Play stopped while medical staff checked on the pair. Schuurs received treatment for a leg injury but returned to the match after a few minutes. The ball girl showed no signs of injury and continued her duties.

Schuurs and Perez lost the match in straight sets, 6-4 6-4. Their opponents advanced to face the second-seeded pair of Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani in the semifinals.
