The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa resumed operations on March 19, 2026, marking the end of a six-year hiatus that began with COVID-19 closures in March 2020. This venue, known for its Victorian-inspired design and garden views, now centers on an Alice in Wonderland theme, blending elegance with playful Disney elements in food and drinks. Reservations became available on February 19, 2026, for bookings up to 60 days in advance, with resort guests able to reserve up to 70 days out for stays up to 10 days. On opening day, seated guests entered at 11 a.m., but the dining room was not full, hinting at potential future availability beyond initial demand. No walk-up options exist, emphasizing the need for prior reservations via the My Disney Experience app or Disney World website. The adult afternoon tea, priced at $79, follows a traditional three-tier structure: savories such as Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart and Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich; an Orange-Cranberry Scone; and sweets like Painting the Roses Earl Grey teacake, customized tableside. Eight Twinings tea blends are offered, including Orangery of Lady Grey (exclusive to Walt Disney World), Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam, and caffeine-free Blackcurrant & Lavender. Cast members act as tea guides, assisting with selections and customizations. Tea-based cocktails include Mint Tulip with whiskey and Peach Mango Tea, and Mar-TEA-ni with Irish gin and Earl Grey. Children’s tea at $49 features items like Queen of Hearts Cheese Toastie and Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron. Plant-based and premium add-ons, such as caviar, are available. Previously, the lounge offered adult teas and the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, both popular before their pandemic-era shutdown.
