Eagles headline New Orleans Jazz Fest with 19-song set

The Eagles headlined day 2 of the 2026 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 2, delivering a 19-song greatest-hits set under sunny skies. Frontman Don Henley quipped about the outdoor vibe contrasting their Las Vegas Sphere shows. The performance marked the band's first Jazz Fest appearance since 2012.

The Eagles took the stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Saturday, May 2, treating a sold-out crowd to sunshine after two days of rain and mud. Don Henley quickly noted the difference from their ongoing Las Vegas residency, saying, “This is very different from the Sphere,” to cheers from the daytime audience. He added, “We got some sunshine up in here,” highlighting the real sunlight over the venue's projected effects, which the band has used since September 2024 at the Sphere. The weather contributed to a relaxed atmosphere for classics like “Take It Easy” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”The set opened with the traditional “Seven Bridges Road,” diverging from the Vegas opener “Hotel California,” which closed the show alongside “Rocky Mountain Way” and “Heartache Tonight.” Notably absent was “Desperado,” and the band ended about 25 minutes early, with no encore despite fan hopes as gear was broken down. Henley reflected onstage, “We’ve been playing these songs for you for about 53 years now, and we hope to continue to do that.”The full 19-song setlist included:- “Seven Bridges Road” (Eagles Live, 1980)- “Take It Easy” (Eagles, 1972)- “One of These Nights” (One of These Nights, 1975)- “Lyin’ Eyes” (One of These Nights, 1975)- “Take It to the Limit” (One of These Nights, 1975)- “Witchy Woman” (Eagles, 1972)- “Peaceful Easy Feeling” (Eagles, 1972)- “Tequila Sunrise” (Desperado, 1973)- “In the City” (The Long Run, 1979)- “I Can’t Tell You Why” (The Long Run, 1979)- “New Kid in Town” (Hotel California, 1976)- “Life’s Been Good” (Joe Walsh’s But Seriously Folks…, 1978)- “Already Gone” (On the Border, 1974)- “The Boys of Summer” (Don Henley’s Building the Perfect Beast, 1984)- “Funk #49” (James Gang’s James Gang Rides Again, 1970)- “Life in the Fast Lane” (Hotel California, 1976)- “Hotel California” (Hotel California, 1976)- “Rocky Mountain Way” (Joe Walsh’s The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get, 1973)- “Heartache Tonight” (The Long Run, 1979)This Rock & Roll Hall of Famers' return drew enthusiastic fans to the Big Easy.
