Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has announced a seven-date solo tour across the UK and Europe in October 2026 to showcase his forthcoming second solo album, Blue Morpho (out May 22). The shows, titled An Evening With… Blue Morpho, will feature collaborators Dave Okumu and ESKA. Tickets went on general sale at 10am local time today.
Ed O’Brien revealed plans for the tour, which kicks off on October 4 at Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The itinerary continues with dates at Teatro Lirico in Milan on October 6, Salle Pleyel in Paris on October 8, Admiralspalast in Berlin on October 10, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg on October 12, Oosterpoort Main Hall in Groningen on October 14, and concludes at London’s Barbican on October 16. O’Brien described the performances as a “fluid and immersive experience,” drawing inspiration from artists like Sly And The Family Stone, Miles Davis, and Phish, rather than straightforward recreations of the album’s studio versions. The musicians involved include musical director Dave Okumu, known for work with Jessie Ware, Amy Winehouse, and St. Vincent, and south London artist ESKA, who has collaborated with Grace Jones and Kae Tempest. Blue Morpho, announced last month and produced by Paul Epworth, follows O’Brien’s 2020 debut Earth under the EOB moniker. O’Brien recently shared the album’s atmospheric title track and premiered an accompanying short film, Blue Morpho: The Three Act Play, at SXSW last month. He also mentioned Radiohead’s touring plans for 2027 onward, with 20 shows per continent annually, and noted that bandmate Thom Yorke has a solo album slated for later this year.
