Former congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro said he filed a police report against a reporter from The Intercept Brasil who visited his Texas residence on Friday.
Eduardo Bolsonaro said his wife Heloísa called him nervously after their 5-year-old daughter Georgia answered the doorbell. A man who identified himself as a reporter questioned the family and neighbors about their routines.
The former congressman posted a video on social media accusing the journalist of invading privacy. He stated that "many people in Texas have a gun" and that the situation "will not stay like this".
Heloísa Bolsonaro wrote on Instagram that she was shaking after the incident. The Intercept Brasil said the journalistic work followed ethical and professional standards.
The visit came one day after the site published a report on Senator Flávio Bolsonaro and the financing of a film about Jair Bolsonaro.
