Ethiopia Commercial Bank secured the title today after beating Ethiopia Electric 2-0 at Abebe Bikila Stadium. The two teams had been level on points heading into the final match of the 2018 season.
Goals from Rediet Asresagn and Emush Daniel gave Commercial Bank the victory and lifted their tally to 69 points.
This marks the club's sixth consecutive league title and ninth overall. Dagmawit Solomon of Ethiopia Electric finished as the league's top scorer with 24 goals.
