FIFA maintains registration ban on Persib Bandung after signing Ragnar Oratmangoen and Sandy Walsh

FIFA has not lifted Persib Bandung's registration ban as of July 4 2026. This prevents the registration of Ragnar Oratmangoen and Sandy Walsh despite their official signings.

Persib Bandung has been under a FIFA sanction since May 29 2026 due to a contract dispute with former player Daisuke Sato. The compensation owed was reduced to around Rp2.7 billion after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The ban remains until lifted so Persib cannot register new players including Ragnar Oratmangoen and Sandy Walsh. The club has also signed Gabriel Mutombo, Luka Menalo, and Gakuto Notsuda.

Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat Adhitia Putra Herawan stated the ban applies only to the registration stage not to contract negotiations or signings. Persib will compete in four competitions next season.

Persib Bandung has been placed on the FIFA registration ban list since May 29, 2026. The sanction stems from a 2023 contract dispute with former player Daisuke Sato.

Persib Bandung officially signed Sandy Walsh on July 2, 2026. The club has also recruited Luka Menalo and Gabriel Mutombo ahead of the Super League 2026-2027.

Persib Bandung has released five players after winning the 2025/2026 Super League title. Manager Umuh Muchtar said the player recruitment process is more complicated due to facing four competitions at once.
