Persib Bandung hit with fifa registration ban over Daisuke Sato dispute

Persib Bandung has been placed on the FIFA registration ban list since May 29, 2026. The sanction stems from a 2023 contract dispute with former player Daisuke Sato.

Persib management stressed that the sanction is unrelated to unpaid wages or player rights violations. Deputy CEO Adhitia Putra Herawan stated the issue originated from the termination of Daisuke Sato's contract.

Adhitia explained the club is completing the required administrative obligations. Persib plans to apply for the ban to be lifted once obligations are fulfilled.
