Jakob Hellsten signs two-year extension with Modo Hockey

Jakob Hellsten, the 26-year-old goaltender who joined Modo Hockey mid-February, has signed a two-year contract extension with the club. He will continue partnering with Adam Werner in goal. The deal comes shortly after Modo's playoff semifinal loss to BIK Karlskoga.

Jakob Hellsten arrived at Modo from Leksand in the middle of February and quickly made his mark, including two shutouts during the playoffs. Despite the team's semifinal defeat to BIK Karlskoga, Hellsten expressed strong enthusiasm about staying in Örnsköldsvik. 'I was very eager to stay,' Hellsten said.
