Jordan Spieth birdied the sixth hole with a 63-foot putt during the first round of the Memorial Tournament on Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Spieth turned his back to the hole before striking the putt on the par-4 sixth. He waited 15 seconds as the ball rolled toward the cup before it fell for birdie. It’s golf right there, Spieth said after the one-putt. He had two-putted the first five holes and finished the round with a one-under 71. Spieth tees off at 11:15 a.m. ET on Friday alongside Jason Day for the second round. The Memorial Tournament continues at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
