KAI serves over 6 million airport train passengers through May

PT Kereta Api Indonesia served 6.2 million customers on airport-connected train and LRT services from January to May 2026.

The total includes 2.5 million passengers in Java and 3.7 million in Sumatra. Vice President Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba said the services strengthen connectivity from city centers to airports.

Commuter Line Bandara Soekarno-Hatta served 1,013,574 passengers, up 14.78 percent from the same period last year. KA Bandara YIA recorded 1,129,627 passengers with a 1.06 percent increase.

KA BIAS in Central and East Java served 375,032 passengers, rising 24.90 percent compared to 2025. Anne Purba highlighted the role of these services in supporting tourists, workers, and economic actors.
