Kawasaki confirms Ninja 300 return to US market

Kawasaki has confirmed that the Ninja 300 sportbike is returning to the US market. The move comes despite the presence of the newer Ninja 500 in the lineup. It also signals that the Versys-X 300 adventure model will remain available.

The company announced the Ninja 300's return after it had been replaced earlier by the Ninja 400 and then the Ninja 500. The bike continues in production for other global markets and meets current US emissions standards without major changes.

The Versys-X 300, priced at $5,799 MSRP, returned to North American showrooms for the 2026 model year. Kawasaki has no plans for a larger Versys-X 400 version at this time. The Ninja 300 carries an MSRP of $4,999.

The Ninja 300 traces its roots to the long-running EX250 series that served as an entry point for many riders since the 1980s. Its reintroduction keeps a low-cost option in the lineup while the KLE500 handles demand for larger adventure bikes.
