Lawsuit filed in Jakarta Timur Court against Otto Hasibuan

An advocate from Jambi has sued DPN Peradi led by Otto Hasibuan and the Indonesian President at the Jakarta Timur District Court over alleged unlawful acts.

The lawsuit was registered on 17 June 2026 under Article 1365 of the Civil Code. The plaintiff argues that Otto Hasibuan violated three Constitutional Court rulings by continuing to lead Peradi while serving as deputy minister since October 2024.

Plaintiff's lawyer Irfan Maulana Muharam said the dual positions breach term limits and prohibitions on concurrent roles for state officials. The President was also named for alleged negligence in oversight.

Peradi receives state budget funds for legal aid through its legal assistance center.

Indonesia's Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has named Hery Susanto as a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving nickel mining governance from 2013 to 2025. Investigators are now pursuing a mysterious figure suspected of giving him Rp1.5 billion in gratifications. The Ombudsman RI has apologized for the incident while assuring that public service oversight functions will continue uninterrupted.

Former Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi testified remotely in the ongoing corruption trial over DJKA railway projects at Medan District Court, denying allegations of tender rigging and fund collection. This follows KPK's investigation, where he was summoned multiple times earlier in 2026.
