LeBron James has joined the Philadelphia 76ers, completing a major roster overhaul that also brought in Jaylen Brown.
The 76ers acquired James along with Jaylen Brown, Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. In exchange, the team sent out Paul George, two first-round picks, the mid-level exception and two bench players.
Philadelphia president of basketball operations Mike Gansey finalized the moves after James chose the 76ers over other suitors. The additions give the team multiple high-usage scorers alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
The signing shifts the balance in the Eastern Conference, where several teams added stars this offseason. The 76ers now hold one of the stronger championship odds according to betting markets.
