Marcelo Faria's team denies aggression accusations in Rio

Marcelo Faria's press team denied on Monday (25/5) accusations of assault against a caretaker at a mansion under renovation in São Conrado, Rio de Janeiro.

In a note sent to the column, the actor's team called the accusations “caluniosas” and stated that he no longer has any connection to the property. The police report was filed at the Barra da Tijuca station after the employee described physical assault, injury and thrown objects during an argument last year.

According to the account, Marcelo Faria allegedly called the caretaker “incompetente” and threw pool cues, balls and paint buckets. The case became a police inquiry, but the actor did not attend a summons for testimony.

Both sides attended a virtual conciliation hearing. The Public Ministry continues the investigation, although the employee has stopped participating in the process.
