Mimaki is stepping down as head of the Hiroshima group of atomic bomb survivors. Hiroshi Harada, 86, will take over the role. Harada currently serves as deputy leader of the group and is a former director of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
The change was reported on May 31. The group consists of hibakusha survivors and engages in activities related to the atomic bombings and nuclear weapons.
