Morgan Spector in talks for Robert Langdon Netflix role

Actor Morgan Spector is in discussions to portray symbologist Robert Langdon in an upcoming Netflix series based on Dan Brown's novel The Secret of Secrets. Rebecca Hall is also in talks for the female lead. The project received a series order from the streamer last year.

The untitled series follows Langdon as he races against time and ancient forces to rescue a missing scientist and her manuscript. The story centers on discoveries that could alter humanity's understanding of the mind.

Netflix placed the series order in May 2025. Co-creators include Carlton Cuse and author Dan Brown.

Brown's Robert Langdon books have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. Previous adaptations include three films starring Tom Hanks and a 2021 Peacock prequel series that ran for one season.

Spector stars as George Russell in the HBO drama The Gilded Age. His other credits include Homeland and The Plot Against America.
