The qualification return leg between IFK Norrköping and Örgryte IS in the Allsvenskan ended 0–0, meaning Örgryte advances to the top tier with a 3–0 aggregate after two legs. The match at Parken in Norrköping took over four hours due to repeated interruptions. With a couple of minutes left, play was stopped after dissatisfied home supporters threw a large amount of pyrotechnics onto the field. When the match was set to resume, it was interrupted again, and reports indicate the qualifier was broken a total of four times. The stands were partially emptied in connection with the incidents.
It was a day of joy for Örgryte, returning to the Allsvenskan after 16 years, but a black day for IFK Norrköping and Swedish football. Scandalous scenes followed one after another during the qualifier. IFK Norrköping's official supporter association Peking Fanz clearly distances itself from the events. "Objects should not be thrown onto the field – period end", says chairman Alexander Winge.
Örgryte is now mobilizing for the 2026 season, focusing on contracts and potential signings, according to sporting director Pontus Farnerud. He mentions plans to sign a player of a similar type to certain key players.
