With a couple of minutes left, play was stopped after dissatisfied home supporters threw a large amount of pyrotechnics onto the field. When the match was set to resume, it was interrupted again, and reports indicate the qualifier was broken a total of four times. The stands were partially emptied in connection with the incidents.
It was a day of joy for Örgryte, returning to the Allsvenskan after 16 years, but a black day for IFK Norrköping and Swedish football. Scandalous scenes followed one after another during the qualifier. IFK Norrköping's official supporter association Peking Fanz clearly distances itself from the events.
