Oscar Birgersson signs two-year contract extension with VIK

Center Oscar Birgersson has agreed to remain with VIK Västerås for the next two seasons. The 26-year-old signed the deal after joining the club last October on a short-term basis.

Birgersson arrived at VIK in October 2025 to help cover for injuries. He joined on a seven-week contract following a brief period with Bordeaux in France.

The player expressed satisfaction with the new agreement.

Birgersson has prior experience in the SHL with Brynäs. He has also played for Almtuna and Tingsryd in HockeyAllsvenskan.
