The San Diego Padres rallied for a 6-4 win over the Texas Rangers in 10 innings on Saturday at Globe Life Field. Manny Machado drove in five runs, including a three-run homer in the 10th. MacKenzie Gore started for the Rangers after Nathan Eovaldi was scratched.
MacKenzie Gore took the mound on short notice after Eovaldi was scratched with left knee soreness. Gore delivered six innings, allowing limited damage in a 1-1 tie before leaving the game.
The Rangers took a 3-1 lead in the seventh on Jake Burger's two-run homer, his 13th of the season. The Padres tied it in the eighth and took the lead in the 10th when Machado hit a three-run homer.
Adrian Morejon earned the win in relief, and Mason Miller recorded his 20th save. The Rangers fell to 6-4 despite Gore's strong effort.
