Peacock has announced launch dates for several new and returning series. The Friday the 13th prequel Crystal Lake will arrive in October. Additional titles including The Paper Season 2 are also scheduled for later in the year.
Peacock will premiere the expanded prequel series Crystal Lake on Thursday, October 15. The drama centers on the Friday the 13th franchise and stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, Jason's mother. Supporting cast members include William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. The project received its series order in October 2022, with Brad Caleb Kane now serving as showrunner after Bryan Fuller stepped down in 2024.
