Royal Family participates in multiple National Day celebrations

The royal family marks Sweden's National Day on June 6 with events at Stockholm Palace, in Salem, Skokloster and at Skansen.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel open the southern gates of Stockholm Palace at 10.00 to welcome the public. The couple later visits the National Day celebration in Salem at Skönviksparken in Rönninge where the Crown Princess gives a speech. King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attend the celebration in Håbo municipality at Skokloster. The program there begins at 10.30 and the official event starts at 11.30. The royal family leaves Stockholm Palace at 17.50 to join the National Day celebration at Skansen which begins at 17.15. The King distributes banners to associations during the event which is broadcast on SVT at 20.00.
