New York Islanders forward Simon Holmström shared his thoughts on fellow Tranås native Hugo Fransson's potential move away from HV71. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the World Championship with Sweden.
Holmström, who left Sweden at 18 after one SHL game to pursue a path through the AHL, reflected on his own career choices. He noted that the decision to play against men in North America felt right at the time despite some questions about skipping the SHL route. In the tournament Holmström has recorded one goal and three assists in three games including a power-play strike against the Czech Republic.
