Starz has ordered a new series in its Power franchise titled Power: Legacy. The show will reunite Tariq St. Patrick and Tommy Egan in New York.
Starz announced the order Thursday. The series picks up after Power Book IV: Force and follows Tariq St. Patrick, played by Michael Rainey Jr., and Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, as they reunite to take the city by storm. The first season will consist of eight episodes. Gary Lennon returns as showrunner and executive producer. He co-wrote the pilot with Kendra Chapman Davis. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, an executive producer, said in a statement that fans have been waiting to see Tariq and Tommy together. Starz president of original programming Kathryn Busby added that the network listened to fans and is thrilled to reunite the actors.
