The Linda Lindas have announced their new album Gotta Get Out and released the track Closer featuring Hayley Williams.
The California punk rock band revealed the 11-track album, their third, which is scheduled for release on Aug. 28 via Reprise/Warner Records. It follows their 2024 release No Obligation.
The song Closer opens with jagged riffs and features vocals from band member Bela Salazar along with Williams on the chorus. Williams helped write the bridge after the band started the track themselves.
“Closer is about feeling like you’re losing control of time, and watching yourself grow older from afar,” Salazar and Lucia de la Garza said in a statement. They added that it felt fitting to collaborate with Williams, whom they have admired for years.
The band and Williams visited Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios after their studio session.
