The Traitors civilian season gets new title and NBC date

NBC will air the civilian edition of The Traitors under the new title The Traitors: New Blood. The season premieres with a two-hour episode on September 17 at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Host Alan Cumming will welcome 22 everyday Americans selected from more than 60,000 applicants. The contestants will compete inside an ancient castle in the Scottish Highlands for a prize fund of up to $250,000.

The Faithful players work together on missions while Traitors work in secret to eliminate them. At the end of the game the remaining Faithful split the prize if all Traitors have been banished.

Previous seasons featured reality stars from Survivor, Big Brother and the Real Housewives franchise. This installment excludes celebrities and will stream on Peacock the day after each NBC broadcast.
