Bandung Traffic Police have identified several congestion hotspots in Bandung expected to be busy during the 2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations. According to police data, these points include Jalan Surya Sumantri-DR Junjunan, Jalan Sukajadi-PVJ, Jalan Setiabudi-Lembang, Jalan Gegerkalong-Girang, Jalan Cipaganti-Setiabudi, Jalan Cihampelas, Jalan Soekarno Hatta Kopo, Jalan Otista, and Pasar Baru. Additionally, jams may occur on Jalan Soekarno Hatta-Moch Toha-Buahbatu-Ibrahim Adji-Cibiru, Jalan Ahmad Yani-Cicaheum, as well as Jalan Asia Afrika and Jalan Braga.

Bandung Traffic Police Chief, AKBP Wahyu Pristha Utama, stated that thorough preparations have been made to secure the Nataru celebrations. This includes cross-sectoral meetings at the police and West Java Police levels with related government agencies. "For those congestion points, personnel have been prepared to reduce them. Of course, we prepare it; from the beginning, we have conducted route surveys with related agencies," said Wahyu on Tuesday (23/12/2025).

Police have set up one integrated post, five service posts, and 23 security posts to monitor blank spots, jam points, accident-prone areas, and crowded centers. For tourist routes like Lembang, they are collaborating with Cimahi authorities. In the morning, priority will be given to vehicles heading to Lembang, while after noon, focus shifts to return traffic to Bandung. These measures aim to ensure smooth year-end holiday travel.
