Tucker Carlson appeared on a Canadian podcast Thursday to defend Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner against accusations tied to a tattoo linked to the German military.
Carlson, speaking on the “Can’t Be Censored” podcast with hosts Travis Dhanraj and Karman Wong, said the tattoo was not a swastika and that it was unclear whether Platner knew its origins.
He added that Republicans had targeted Platner because the candidate was “not sufficiently supportive of Israel.” Carlson also announced he no longer supports the Republican Party, criticizing its leaders including Speaker Mike Johnson.
Platner is running as a Democrat to challenge incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins in Maine.
