They also discussed plans for a joint African logistics and communications symposium. This initiative aims to build capacity for African defense institutions through technology sharing and collaboration with the private sector.
Major General Teshome Gemechu, director of Ethiopia's defense foreign relations, described the talks as productive. US Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Massinga joined other senior military officers from both nations at the discussion.
