Vita Hästen replaces sports chief Tom Tärnström

Vita Hästen announced on Thursday that sports director Tom Tärnström will leave the club after one season. The decision follows an evaluation of the sporting operations.

Club director Fredrik Jensen stated that the organization needs different leadership going forward. Tärnström had joined from Väsby, where he spent nine seasons, and helped build the squad for the upcoming Hockeyettan season.

The team finished third in the southern division last season but was eliminated in the round of 16 by Halmstad. Jensen confirmed no other immediate changes are planned and emphasized continuity in other areas.

Tärnström described the news as sudden and unexpected. He noted that decisions of this kind rarely come at an ideal time.
